The Weeknd has released a song from the forthcoming Fifty Shades of Grey film soundtrack.
“Earned It” is a — surprise! — sexy waltz to really show how much you care. “Cause, girl, you’re perfect/ You’re always worth it/ And you deserve this/ The way you work it/ ‘Cause, girl, you earned it.”
Tonally, the moody and mysterious “Earned It” definitely sounds in the same vein as Beyonce’s “Haunted”, which was used in the last trailer for the buzzy film. Rita Ora, who will also act in the movie, also has a song on the film’s soundtrack.
