Nicky Rubin premieres new single

Nicky Rubin, an artist with a history of music release, yet this is a first for me. After a lifetime of travelling and playing music from Paris to Vienna to New Zealand and beyond, Nicky’s new single ‘I’ll Never Forget You’ is the first of what is expected to be a new album later in 2016.

Recorded with his long time friend and producer Daniel Steggall, the new single includes a host of surprise collaborations. You can hear a string section courtesy of Stella Page who’s credited with the works of big UK hitters Elbow and Blur to name a couple, along with drumming from Nikolaj Bjerre of Lamb.

‘I’ll Never Forget You’ itself is an uplifting, cleverly wrote love song and features artwork of a vintage train (quoted in the second verse) and Rubin shows a great range to demonstrate his vocal ability.

We’re delighted to premiere the new single on Music Crowns. It will be available for purchase on Ugly Mother Records via all the usual platforms Friday 5th February, for now grab a first listen below and expect to hear more about Nicky Rubin later this year.
