Ooberfuse release “One Reality” to help spread the love

London electronica band Ooberfuse are set to release their upcoming single ‘One Reality’ which will be released on 9th February 2015 – just in time for Valentines Day.

Their music video was filmed in the Philippines after their recent trip to visit survivors of the Typhoon Haiyan in 2013. This warmhearted, tropical feel can also be felt in the song itself thanks to the infectious 4/4 beat that blends uniquely with the lovely guitar riff that remains one of the main features of the song. A smooth bass, catchy bongos and the welcoming vocals of band members Cherrie Anderson and Hal St John punctuate this and adds to the pop appeal, while also staying true to the bands signature sound.

The band were encouraged by the positive spirit that is still visible in those that were worst effected by the disaster, Cherrie stated: “We were surprised to find that although many died in the typhoon or had fled, there was still a small community living a traditional lifestyle on the shoreline. When we asked if they would like to take part in our music video they jumped at the prospect.”

Hal also added “Nothing could have distracted us from the overwhelming warmth and joy in the children and adults who crowded in to be part of the shoot. Some fishermen took us out in their narrow bamboo fishing boat to film their makeshift houses from the sea. One of them pointed to a tall coconut tree on the edge of the narrow gravel beach and said the wave reached the treetop.”

‘One Reality’ is a groovy new single with a laid back feel that aims to spread the love this Valentines day, not only with those closest to us, but also to those who need it most.
