Avril Lavigne hits out at Mark Zuckerberg

Avril Lavigne has hit out at Mark Zuckerberg after his ‘bullying’ put-down of Nickelback.

The Facebook founder recently posted a tongue-in-cheek video introducing his new custom-built AI butler Jarvis, voiced by Morgan Freeman. In the clip, Jarvis performs a myriad of tasks for Zuckerberg, before refusing to put on a Nickelback song because “there aren’t any good Nickelback songs.”

Lavigne, who was married to Nickelback singer Chad Kroeger, responded with a stern statement, saying: “Dear Mark, many people use your products – some people love them and some people don’t. Either way, you’re allowed your musical opinion, however, your jab at Nickelback is in poor taste.”

She continues: “When you have a voice like yours, you may want to consider being more responsible with promoting bullying, especially given what’s going on in the world today.”
