Future Islands have announced a short UK and Eire tour for spring 2017.
The band will play the following dates across April and May, as part of their wider European tour:
April 27th – Glasgow, Barrowlands
April 28th – Leeds, University Stylus
April 29th – Liverpool, O2 Academy
April 30th – Brighton, Brighton Dome
May 2nd – Nottingham, Rock City
May 3rd – Bristol, O2 Academy
July 6th – Dublin, Iveagh Gardens
These will be the first UK shows for the band since 2015, when they played Glastonbury Festival in support of their last album, ‘Singles’, which was released in 2014.
Also in 2015, they cut a special live version of ‘The Chase’ for Record Store Day, recorded in Abbey Road’s Studio 3 direct to vinyl.
In addition to this year’s UK and European dates, the band have also announced a handful of US festival shows – including California’s Coachella and Bonnaroo in Tennessee.
