Ploughed Heart is a Recognisable Illustration of Love and Loss

The album cover is what first drew me to this album, an unusual photo of a young woman lying on the grass, smiling and shielding her eyes from the sun.

It is only when you dig deeper into the album that you discover its significance. The young woman’s name is Liane Ashberry, who raised £60,000 for the Bone Cancer Research Trust and Leicester Royal Infirmary’s Children’s and Young People’s Unit on Ward 27 between 2009-2015 after the loss of her daughter. What makes this all the more significant is that lead singer/lyricist/mother Liane heartbreakingly took her own life in April of this year, at the conclusion of 4 years worth of writing and recording.

‘Ploughed Heart’ is the result of this journey; a shocking, uplifting debut album. It is a stirring, melodious collection of 13 raw and inspiring songs, underpinned by the wonder of love and life.

The lead single ‘Rhythm of Sound’ is an infectious song with latin / pop influences reminiscent of Gloria Estefan.

The album is designed to motivate audiences to continue Liane’s message of hope and passion. It is dedicated to Liane Ashberry and her daughter Ella, proceeds in part will go to her charities and now also extends to include mental health and suicide prevention charities. It will be released on 9th October but is available to pre-order now.
