George Montague – ‘Umbrella’ single, ‘Curiouser and Curiouser George’ album ahead of London gig

When it comes to the basics, a good pop song doesn’t have to have many things. It needs to have a combination of some (but not all of) catchy melodies, good production, well written lyrics and a strong rhythmic foundation. ‘Umbrella’, the new single from George Montague, has all those things. But what makes this better than good, what makes it great, is the intangibles.

There’s something infectious about the song, as infectious as Montague’s personality itself, which comes across from first listen and gets stronger and stronger. It’s typical of an artist picking up excellent reviews on the independent scene for his recent album (available here), being touted as a possible next breakout star in the UK.

If you like what you hear and want to jump on the bandwagon early, you should definitely grab the chance to see him live in an intimate Chelsea location – tickets here.
