Introducing – Silent Redemption

Silent redemptionOver time, there are countless acts from big cities who have paved their way into rock stardom. The truth is, we love to hear stories about the-little-band-that-could, as they rise up through their small town using their own success to help put it on a map. Artists like Poison, Joan Jett, and Taylor Swift found their roots in small Pennsylvanian towns. Dave Grohl came up from a little town in Ohio, and even Radiohead came from Abingdon-on-Thames in England. So yes, we love ourselves a small town story, and we’d like to take a shot at who we think could be the next big thing from the next small town.

Our story takes us to Dubuque, a small Iowa town about 3 hours outside of Chicago, where the growing faith-based rock band Silent Redemption have begun to catch fire. Having released two jaw-dropping EP’s, the band has played almost 300 shows in just under four years together. “I’ve always been about the road,” says James Robinson, frontman and founder of the band. “There’s nothing better than a band who strives to play on stage every night. We’ve played tons of shows and we don’t plan on stopping any time soon.” The band continues to skyrocket out of Dubuque, covering stages throughout college towns in Wisconsin, Illinois, Missouri, and much more, which has helped the band strike some strong traction on both FM and Internet radio.   “The band’s demo titled Back to Basics really opened the door to radio for the band,” says manager Jason Lottmann, head of Star Crossed Artist Group. “It’s singles Fury and Fight, Raise ‘Em High, and Caught all received some great play at local FM stations, which honestly isn’t easy to do for a band that doesn’t have a huge marketing machine behind them. We’re excited for these guys and what’s to come for them.”

The band’s success has allowed them to share the stage with modern-rock greats Chevelle, Halestorm, and Adrenaline Mob. If you’re in the US, be on the look out for Silent Redemption shows in the midwest this fall, as well as a new record in the near future. “We’ve got some tour dates we’re putting together in October, and we’re also looking at new opportunities where we’ll be sharing the stage with bigger acts once again,” says James. “We’re also in talks with producers like Travis Wyrick and Rick Beato (Shinedown, Disciple) for our next record, so we’re pretty amped about what’s to come.”
