Following the successful release of his The Only Way Is Up EP last month, London singer, songwriter and producer Midéis proud to announce the biggest headline concert of his career so far, at London’s renowned Shaw Theatre on April 11, 2015. To accompany his exciting gig news, Midé is also unveiled the brand new music video for ‘Oh Love’, one of the standout songs from his well received The Only Way Is Up EP.
Midé’s Shaw Theatre headline gig comes on the back of his sold out UK nationwide tour in conjuction with ILUVLIVElast summer, and is poised to be an electrifying show experience for audiences and critics alike. Giving fans an early taste of what to expect at his Shaw Theatre gig, Midé’s new video for ‘Oh Love’ sees him joined by Dayna Fisher on bass, Max Lauder on drums and Gershom Mutambo on second guitar, for an epic band session which captures Midé’s live energy, performance prowess and artistic creativity to perfection.
The ‘Oh Love’ single itself is a gloriously sparse neo-spiritual love song like we’ve never heard from Midé before – the record grabs the listeners’ attention from start to finish. Describing the singe, London native Midé said, “I feel like, if I’ve ever written about love, this is the one time I think I’ve come close to singing it right. We all want to love and beloved and this song speaks of a yearning; not wanting Love to go but its melodic hopeful pining as opposed to sadness at the thought of love fleeing”, enjoy it below.
