Streets We Ran Announce The Who Writer’s Literary Event

Streets We Ran in conjunction with Merc & Mod Shoes have announced a very special celebration of 50 years of legendary rockers and mod icons The Who with the authors of various publications featuring the band over the years.

The event will run from 12 midday to 6pm and is a fast-paced, vibrant and unpretentious gathering of like-minded readers and writers. The broad selection of authors all take different standpoints and come from a variety of backgrounds, but will come together for one afternoon only to offer their invaluable insights and opinions.

Each author will speak for 30 minutes in a Q&A format with an interviewer on the chosen subject of their book, giving the audience rare insights into one of the most important bands the world has ever seen.

The authors and their featured books on West London’s finest include:

Richard Barnes (The Who – Maximum R&B)
Tony Fletcher (Dear Boy – The Life of Keith Moon)
Mark Blake (‘Pretend You’re In A War: The Who And The Sixties’)
Peter ‘ Dougal ‘ Butler (Full Moon)
Chris Charlesworth (The Who: The Illustrated Biography, Pete Townshend: A Career Biography and The Complete Guide to the Music of The Who)
Ben Marshall (The Who – 50 Years : The Official History Due out Oct)
Ian Snowball (Keith Moon : There Is No Substitute Due out 2016)
Simon Wells (Quadrophenia a Way of Life – Inside the Making of Britain’s Greatest Youth Film)

The Who Writer’s Literary Event is the second in a run of literary shows from the organisers at Streets We Ran, following a sold out show with ‘Modernist’ authors earlier this year.
