The Hideouts – First Road Out

We are excited to announce our album “First Road Out” will be available May 26th  on iTunes, Spotify, YouTube, Amazon, and everywhere digital music is sold. The album includes all original work including new 5 songs, and one bonus track “Here to Stay.”

About the Band:

The Hideouts fully formed in May of 2013. They would work on perfecting their live set for 6 months before booking their first gig as entertainment at the Cox Convention Center in Oklahoma City, for an Oklahoma City Barons game. The Hideouts have come a long way in their few shorts years as a band, playing for events, and venues including:

  • Calf Fry 2015-Stillwater, OK
  • The Wormy Dog- Oklahoma City, OK
  • The Tumbleweed – Stillwater, OK
  • The Official after-party for the Turnpike Troubadours
  • The official Jake Jam after-party 2014 (OKC Jake FM 93.3)
  • OKC Fest
  • The Artesian Arts Festival – Sulphur, OK
  • Twister Fest – Chickasha, OK

In 2015 The Hideouts also competed in a Talent search called The Country Showdown. They would go on to win the Stillwater area competition and advance to state in Tahlequah, Oklahoma where they would become runner-up to Trey O’Dell who later became a contestant on The Voice in 2016 and joined Team Blake. The Hideouts have since partnered with 7th Planet Entertainment Group out of Water Valley, Texas. The Hideouts look to build on their success in 2016 with the release of “First Road Out.”

Band Members:

Garrett Haines: A native of Sulphur, Oklahoma Haines would graduate from Sulphur High School in 2009.  Haines would attend The University of Central Oklahoma where he graduated with a degree in Music Business. Haines is currently the lead singer and rhythm guitar player for The Hideouts and works at The Hudiburg Performing Arts Theatre where he is a manager.

Mikey Hevr: A native of Lawton, Oklahoma Hevr would graduate from Lawton High School in 2011. Hevr would also attend The University of Central Oklahoma where she obtained a degree in Music Business. Hevr plays lead guitar for The Hideouts and provides back-up vocals. Hevr currently works as a photographer traveling the United States.

Shane McKinzie: A native of Bristow, Oklahoma McKinzie would graduate from Bristow High School in 2011. McKinzie would go on to graduate from Oklahoma State University in 2015 with a degree in Sociology. Shane currently plays bass for The Hideouts and is pursuing a career in Law Enforcement.

Dace Palmer: A native of Duncan, Oklahoma. Palmer would graduate from Duncan High School in 2014. Palmer would go on to Study at The University of Central Oklahoma where he is actively studying to receive a degree in Live Performance. Palmer is the newest drummer to play with The Hideouts.
