Vive La Rose

Vive La Rose released new EP “Don’t Move, Don’t Speak” on the 14th April, 2014 through Hard Graft and has just been nominated for Best British male at the BOB Unsigned Awards.

Recalling artists such as Fleet Foxes, Ryan Adams and M Ward, the labyrinthine title track is swathed in chiming guitars and soaring harmonies, chronicling a relationship that turns on a sixpence from perfection to panic. The first of two EP’s scheduled for release in 2014, this record features previous singles “Tinderbox” and “Come Hither”, championed by Amazing Radio’s Jim Gellatly and Gary Crowly. Singled out by the Best of British Unsigned as one to watch in 2014, publications including the US Billboard Magazine have praised Herberts previous work, released through Rough Trade Shops, for being “Heavy with spirit, emotion and sadness.”

Having capped 2013 with a series of successful shows with live collaborators Jack Hutchinson and Jim Brazendale, Herbert has also recorded guitar for singer/songwriter Padraig Whelan, picking up numerous plays on 6Music, Radio 2 and XFM, and played prestigeous venues such as the Union Chapel and Bush Hall. In addition, Herbert has produced music for a number of projects for DNA Music, including independent film “Hollow”, nominated for Best Film at the the Raindance Film Festival.
