What You Do To Me (single) – The Afteraffects

Going for eight years, with four albums behind them, Alan Montgomery and Ricky Kyle – aka The Afteraffects – are getting all fired up the for summer with the release of their EP, “Rush Hour” on Wednesday – their first project with Rubber Taxi Records.

Lead single,” What You Do To Me” could be a massive hit with fans of the 80s and 90s. The four-minute banger boasts vibrant waves of electro/synthed-up pop pumping in unison with that real gritty funky house of the 90s – a crossbreed of Calvin Harris and Depeche Mode.

Containing three more tracks, “Rush Hour” EP showcases the Glaswegian masters at work. Although not as energetic as the lead single, they’re just as buzz worthy showcasing a chilled out, after party presence. The title track possesses a real too-cool-for-school soulful jazz/funk feel, which is quite reminiscent of a theme song for a 70s detective series!

“Rush Hour EP” is now on 18th May via Rubber Taxi Records…but for now; check out the video to “What You Do To Me”.
