Track of the day: Magnus Bechmann – ‘Second Chance’

Brilliance Records brings you Magnus Bechmann’s latest track, ‘Second Chance’ taken from his forthcoming EP ‘Loners Get Lonely Too’. Produced by Erlend Mokkelbost this track mixes a playful blend of live instruments and sparkling synth melodies held in place by dry percussive components and Bechmann’s cheerful, springy vocals.

This electronic-indie compound brings nostalgic elements, reminiscent of Darwin Deez’s ‘Radar Detector’, along with the animated fun feel of Skylar Spence’s 2014 hit, ‘Fione Coyne’. Although being released in January 2017 it is not hard to imagine that this song will still be of great relevance come the heat of the summer months.

Sandvika’s Magnus Bechmann gives some insight into the track’s message saying it’s “about buying into the self-help distributed through dishonest TV-shops, who promise a better life for just a few bucks. Generally, if it sounds too good to be true, then it usually isn’t true.”

You can stream the pre-release track now over at Brilliance Records’ Soundcloud and keep an eye out for the ‘Loners Get Lonely Too’ EP dropping January 2017.
