No Lie (single) – 3Bubble and J.Gray

When you hit the play button on this track, rest assured you’d want to hear more from these two exceptionally talented rappers, hailing from Houston- 3Bubble and Justin Andrew Gray – but these larger-than-life characters aren’t so cruel to leave you hanging as they have an album coming out, entitled “Live From the Pentagon” at the end of this month.

It was sheer destiny when the two meet because together they’re unstoppable force to be reckoned with. Although there’s some influences of Outkast in their sound, they effortlessly make hip-hop potentially appealing beyond the game, and the leading single, “No Lie” might be the ticket to grab the masses attention. The three-and-a-half-minute track oozes a real slick presence of R&B with a satisfying lick of 70-inspired soul.  The accompanying visual may be simple, but these guys want to show that they mean business… and that they’re on fire.

The single is a great reflection on the upcoming project, as the 13-track album predominantly features rich blends of soul/R&B, with bursts of EDM/pop through tracks, “Get Up” and “Hands Up”. From the get-go, you’re welcomed with open arms with the intro track, “The Life” which displays a flawlessly toe-curling flow, coupled with take-it-back-to-the-church, Outkast-style arrangements.

“Live From The Pentagon” is out on 30th May…so be sure to look out for that album…but for now, check out the video to “No Lie”.
