Rui Assis

Born in Angola in the late 80s and growing up in Canning Town, East London, Rui Assis, who also goes by the name ‘Ruffy’ has played an adequate part in the UK music industry for several years, producing tracks for the likes of ‘Aggro’, ‘Fire Camp’ ‘Brutz’ and up and coming R’n’b, Afro-beat group ‘E3 Brothers’ plus many more.

In late 2012 Rui formed a music duo-collective known as RXD, which was a healthy mix of a creative beat/video production team. RXD then went on to directing & editing music videos for award winning actor and former So Solid member ‘Ashley Walters’ not to forget Chip, J-Spades & D.Dark.

Fast forward to late 2013, Rui parted ways from RXD, discovering a new found passion for film and video, Rui then went on to pursuing a career as a reputable filmmaker/musician. Rui’s first solo attempt at film directing, introduced an ambitious and action packed short film known as ‘Deadly Grounds’ – so far gaining admirable reviews from filmmakers around the world.
