When speaking on Hip Hop there are many elements. The most recognized element is the music. Tivon Branch also known as “Von” to the entertainment industry; was born March 4, 1985 to a family with a rich musical background. “I’m not just music; I am life.” says Von. “Watch me live beyond the words I write in the notebook; and observe as I flourish through the lyrics of a song.” Von possess a diverse style that does more than adapt to compositions; it brings life to a project demanding the best results for listeners and those looking to be entertained.
Since 8 years old, Von has been influenced by hip hop. When asked where his style originated, he simply expressed. “My style is me…No more no less.” He continues. “I grew up on East Coast hip-hop; and appreciated the West Coast for its contribution. I have love for the South. Each coast raised and trained me in hip hop, even though I’m a child of the forgotten Midwest.” In 2005 Von started to work with various producers and artist. Names like Boonie Mayfield of Denver, Colorado, and Dr. Roqs of Indianapolis, Indiana as he worked on perfecting his craft.
Chicago’s 88.9FM Fusion Radio, has interviewed Von twice over the airways showing an interest in the young aspiring artist. “I want to build on anything I do.” He stated. The new music he has brought together, he seems very comfortable which is more elated, and is overly excited to release. Following the advice of his many mentors and industry professionals; he exercises patience with a “ready for some action”, attitude. More so than a “go-getter” skill to reach out to new fans and surpassing the expectations of his current fan base that anticipate a great project.

During the summer of 2011, Von gave the world a taste with his original mixtape “Worth N Weight”. By the ending of 2012, you will have a full serving of Von with his independent album “Smoke & Mirrors” The lead single “Tonight” produced by Boonie Mayfield is the prepared portion for the public.The beginning of 2013 is ready to dine in on some “good” music. With this, just being a start and more on the way for lovers of this Hip-Hop/Rap genre.
