Start The Week Over strips back “You On My Mind” for cosy new power-pop track

New York power-pop quintet Start The Week Over have dropped a new single.

‘You on My Mind’ (Stripped) is a candid and hook laden acoustic effort, telling tales of love and loss.

The track showcases Start The Week Over’s mellow but toe-tapping brand of power-pop, set amidst the infectious lead vocal of Bobby Gioiosa.

Start The Week Over were kept apart physically for much of the pandemic, but the quintet have allowed their natural creative flair to blossom. Social app Discord became the catalyst for this and, subsequently, a dexterous array of influence emerge. Nods to the likes of Dance Gavin Dance, The 1975, Carly Rae Jepsen and Modern Baseball all evident on the latest material.

The release of the cathartic and cosy, stripped back version of ‘You on My Mind’ ushers in the holiday season with glistening pop sensibility.
