Swedish-American singer BERG has shared the visuals for her latest single.
‘What If’ features intimate lyrics on a dreamy, synth soundscape. Listen to it below.
The first in a two-part series of videos, the visuals have been directed by Connor Carver-Carter with cinematography from John Letsinger.
Inspired by the timelessness of paintings, and the strange connection of two people being in the same room but entirely in different places.
The ethereal song was inspired by a small note that BERG received, which her friend had scribbled the simple question “what if?” upon it.
Elaborating on the concept, BERG said: “To me this is the title song of my life. Missed opportunities of love that could have been because of the fear of revealing myself & of showing anybody my flaws and letting anybody in. By stopping myself from speaking the truth, the moment passed.”
