The 61st Grammy Awards certainly were a Golden Hour for country singer Kacey Musgraves.
Musgraves swept the floor at the 2019 ceremony, tying with Donald Glover for the most successes, including Album Of The Year for her LP Golden Hour, one of the night’s biggest wins.
Up against heavy-hitters like Drake’s Scorpion, Post Malone’s Beerbongs & Bentleys, and Janelle Monáe’s Dirty Computer, many viewers were surprised at a less mainstream star taking home the award.
And among those surprise was Musgraves herself, caught on camera putting her hands up and repeating “What?!” over and over, paired with a hilarious facial expression.
Before the unfortunate snap was shared far and wide courtesy of the World Wide Web, the ‘Velvet Elvis’ singer was quick on the damage control, Tweeting the image with a challenge: “Let the memes begin.” – and fans certainly delivered.
