Kelsy Karter’s tattoo might have been a hoax, but her new single is the real deal

You could say Kelsy Karter likes Harry Styles.

Last month, the LA-based singer dominated the headlines after she walked into a tattoo parlor and left with a huge ink of the former One Direction singer’s face on her cheek.

Well, not quite.

The tattoo turned out to be fake, rather a calculated music marketing ploy that propelled Kelsy to online infamy: and now she’s making the most of it.

‘What U’, her latest offering, is a collaboration with Anthony Rossomando and Tony Esterly – check it out below.

Filled with the raw, scuzzy guitars of 60’s garage-rock, distinctively ferocious vocals, and antagonizing lyricism: “Said goodbye to my ex/ Are you gonna be next? / What are you gonna do?”, Karter is certainly making a name for herself, past social media punchline.
