Kid Cudi donates $10,000 worth of Popeyes to homeless with help from Postmates app

Following a busy weekend which saw Kid Cudi take on his second set at Coachella, the rapper still found time to help out those in need.

Cudi ordered $10,000 worth of Popeyes chicken, biscuits, mashed potatoes, and fries from Postmates to be delivered to the Coachella Valley Rescue Mission on Friday night (19th April), TMZ reports.

The shelter, which serves hundreds of homeless people in Indio, California received a carload of food via the Postmates service.

The app is already collaborating with Cudi on “Munchies Menu” – a commemoration of 4/20 which curates a list of the rapper’s favourite items from five major cities (Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, Miami, and Chicago).

On the delicious collab, Cudi said: “Most of the inspiration behind the names on the munchies menu comes from inside jokes with friends and nicknames earned over the years.”

The selfless move came just one night before Cudi’s second Coachella performance (20th April), which featured an appearance from the rappers collaborator Kanye West to perform ‘Father Stretch My Hands, Pt. 1,’ and ‘Reborn’ from the pair’s joint album Kids See Ghosts.

The following day, Cudi dropped in on Kanye’s Easter ‘Sunday Service’ performance.
