Morrissey puts support behind right-wing extremist group during The Tonight Show performance

Monday night (13th May) saw Morrissey deliver a performance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

Moz sauntered through a stellar rendition of Jobriath’s 1973 hit ‘Morning Starship’, which appears on his latest cover album, Californian Son.

However, the performance was scuppered for some, as Stereogum notes that it was hard to focus on the performance and not the “For Britain” support pin he was wearing.

The extremely controversial right-wing party was founded in 2017 by anti-Muslim activist Anne Marie Waters.

It’s not the first time Morrissey has endorsed the party – on his website in 2018 he wrote: “Please give them a chance. Listen to them. Do not be influenced by the tyrannies of the MSM who will tell you that For Britain are racist or fascist — please believe me, they are the very opposite!!! Please do not close your mind.”
