Oscar Jerome shares video for ‘Do You Really’

South London-based artist, Oscar Jerome, has shared the Dashti Jahfar-directed video for recent single, ‘Do You Really’.

Featuring the psychedelic artwork of Tilly Mint, the new video arrives just ahead of Jerome’s debut UK tour which includes a stop at Village Underground on 25th September, his third headline in the capital this year.

‘Do You Really’ finds Oscar at his most socially aware to-date with lyrics that navigate through issues of masculinity and sexuality. The track is now accompanied by this woozy new video that captures Jerome and bandmates washed in oil-spun visuals. Speaking about the clip, Jerome says: “Everyone featured in the video either plays in the band or helped produce the song. We wanted to have fun and be playful with the video and so the concept was based around us existing in alternate funky reality where people bathe in records and wear sunglasses inside.”

September’s debut headline tour will follow recent sell-out shows in London, as well as slots at Visions, Love Supreme Festival, Leeds World Island, and debut shows in New York. 2018 has also seen Jerome write Kokoroko’s ‘Abusey Junction’, collaborate with the likes of James Massiah, Poppy Ajudha, Maxwell Owin and Joe Armon-Jones, as well as working with visual artists including Eda Feola and the aforementioned Jahfar.
