Peace unveil elemental new track

Peace have dropped an electrifying new track inspired by no less a force than raging nature itself, ahead of their sell-out NME Awards show next week.

Of the single, entitled Power and premiered on Annie Mac‘s BBC Radio 1 show as her Hottest Record In The World, singer Harry Koisser explains how it was inspired by a magnificent lightning storm he witnessed while recording in America with Bat For Lashes producer Simone Felice: “I watched a giant, pulsating lightning bolt land near the farmhouse and I instantly associated it with the electricity and power of the kids we’d been quaking with for the last five years at our shows.

“I was inspired to write a song that was an answer to their question. I guess it ended up being a call-to-arms. Power is a song about booting down the door to delirious glory and charging heart-first into the worldwide banquet of love.”

The rousing rally is the second single from the band in recent months, following last year’s From Under Liquid Glass, which was released in December in support of mental health charity MQ. Despite the new releases, however, Peace are yet to announce a full follow-up to 2015’s Happy People album.
