Sleater-Kinney have dropped some cryptic hints that new music is on its way.
In January, the group shared that they had headed into the studio with St. Vincent.
The news that the iconic singer would produce their latest album was confirmed with an image of the band and Annie Clark.
In an interview with NPR, guitarist Carrie Brownstein said: “We always planned on getting back in the studio — it was just a matter of when. If there is an overarching principle to this album, it’s that the tools on which we were relying proved inadequate. So we sought new ones, both metaphorically and literally.”
While no title or release date is set, Sleater-Kinney’s have hopped on to Twitter to drop some cryptic hints.
In eight hours the band posted three tweets: each featuring the same image of the band with a different word: “UNLOVABLE,”, “UNF*CKABLE”, and “UNLISTENABLE.”
