This artist is reuniting iconic pop stars with their younger selves

For some, Photoshop can be like a time machine.

Ard Gelinck is making the fantasy of time-travel a reality, using photoshop to digitally splice popstars with shots of their younger selves for an audience of 10,000 on Instagram.

The snaps, edited to look like old family photographs, act like a timeline to see how much (or how little – we’re looking at you, Beyoncé) the artists have changed.

Gelinck has worked his magic on a huge number of stars; Amy Winehouse, Bruce Springsteen, George Michael, Freddie Mercury, Will Smith, and Ed Sheeran, are just a few that have been treated to a trip down memory lane.

Explaining why he started making the edits, Gelinck said: “Just to be creative! I make a lot of stuff.”
