London based, America born Alien Tango have shared their first single with Madrid based Ground Control management.
Weird-pop single ‘Friends!’ tackles a relatable theme on the backdrop of a chaotic, self-directed music video. Check it out below.
Frontman Alberto Garcia Rosa said of the track: “‘Friends!’ is a love song for friends, and particularly for Oso Peligro – Alien Tango’s live bass player. It’s inspired by two years of surviving with him in London in dodgy tiny rooms, sometimes sharing an inflatable bed covered with coats instead of blankets for weeks. Also by endless touring weekends, where we end up either sleeping on the same sofa with each other’s feet in our face, or playing Mario Kart with bloodshot eyes on an airport bench at 4am. Composition-wise, the song is my attempt to write a pop tune in an unusual time signature. The music video features Oso Peligro (in the red tracksuit) and our guitar player, Keanu Reeves (in the yellow tracksuit). Any product placement is accidental.”
Alien Tango perform the first in a series of live London shows at The Post Bar on 25th May and The Victoria on 14th June, before the group head to Spain.
