Watch Nicolas Cage passionately cover Prince’s ‘Purple Rain’ at LA karaoke bar

Hot on the heels of his drunken wedding blunder in Vegas last month, footage has surfaced of Nicolas Cage mournfully scream-singing a karaoke rendition of Prince’s iconic hit, ‘Purple Rain’.

Last month, the 55-year-old star drunkenly exchanged vows with makeup artist Erika Koike.

Annulment papers were filed by Cage just four dates later, detailing that the Mandy actor “lacked understanding” and “reacted on impulse” when tying the knot with Koike, and that the make-up artist neglected to tell him about “the full nature and extent of her relationship with another person,” and her criminal history.

Cage is currently facing a bitter legal battle with Koike, who believes she is entitled spousal support.

Now it seems that the star coped with the stress through the power of song, with clips surfacing of him performing a raucous rendition of Prince’s 1984 classic, ‘Purple Rain‘ at a Los Angeles karaoke bar. Watch the full video over at TMZ.

In a 2018 interview with Collider, Cage voiced his admiration for Prine: “It’s no secret that I’ve been, and still am, a huge fan of Prince. I thought, like many of us, that he was a pure artist. I would and still do think about what he would do – like if I have a question about ‘should I do this or should I do that?’ I often think about what his perception would be even though I didn’t know him.”
