Watch Simon Neil of Biffy Clyro cover Frightened Rabbit’s ‘The Modern Leper’ at Scott Hutchinson tribute gig

Biffy Clyro frontman Simon Neil joined Frightened Rabbit on stage last night, during the Scott Hutchison tribute show in Glasgow, Scotland.

The Songs of Frightened Rabbit saw band members Billy Kennedy, Andy Monaghan and Grant Hutchinson perform alongside a series of special guest vocalists.

Kathryn Joseph, Fiskur, and The Twilight Sad frontman James Graham were among those performing Frightened Rabbit’s tracks at the event, which raised money for the Scott Hutchinson Foundation and social enterprise Social Bite, in aid of helping the homeless.

Neil joined the band to perform their 2008 track, ‘The Modern Leper’, before rousing crowds with a with a rendition of Bruce Springsteen’s ‘Dancing in the Dark’ – check out the performances below.

Frightened Rabbit later took to Instagram to said: “We felt Scott’s presence in every word that was sung with us last night by the incredible folks who joined us on stage and in the whole bandstand.”

Speaking to the BBC prior to the the performance Grant, Scott’s brother and the band’s drummer, said: “It seemed like the right thing to do, and like a natural thing to do – to make a positive thing out of something that was a very tragic event – to be able to help two charities and two causes, and also to play with people that are good friends.”
