Awir Leon releases infectious new single “A Million Other Days”

In anticipation of his new musical project “Love You, Drink Water,” Awir Leon is back with an infectious new single “A Million Other Days.” The track is experimental, and fully showcases Leon’s unique sound – blending together electronica, alternative hip hop and indie. “A Million Other Days” features a colourful melting pot of playful drums, grooving bass lines and atmospheric synths. On top, his vocals are softly penned, and work hand in glove with his emotional lyricism.

Choreographer Amala Diano wrote an accompanying dance for Awir. Exploring the spaces between desperation, fighting and letting go, the dance video is sure to bring you closer to the songwriter. It’s a piece of art that’s not to be missed.

Speaking about the single, Awir Leon explains: “A Million Other Days is probably my most honest song, the kind of song you almost don’t want to release because it’s too intimate. When it’s out it’s definitely gonna feel like I’m naked in the streets. But I think it’s good, we all have these moments of extreme emotion, extreme sadness, regrets and hopes in the same burst, that’s what this song is. It was also written and recorded this way, one take, no overdub, no edits, it’s a pure burst.”

Not only a musician but also a talented dancer, Awir toured for a decade with several international dance companies, such as Emanuel Gat Dance, before feeling the need to focus more on music. Having now toured Europe and picked up  a whole host of acclaim from the likes of NOWNESS, Notion and The House Magazine, gaining over 1 million streams on Spotify alone, Awir Leon’s new material once again pushes boundaries, showcasing his musical maturity and cementing his place as an exciting, interesting up and comer.
