BATHTUB drop new single GAMEPLAY

BATHTUB is back with their new single, “GAMEPLAY,” which is the perfect track to listen to if you’re looking for a grunge fix. The Manchester-based duo has crafted an all-purpose anthemic sucker punch that’s sure to get your blood pumping with its thrashing drums and hard-hitting fuzz-bass lines. The group is known for its innovative writing style, and they’ve truly pushed genre barriers with this latest release.

The lyrics of “GAMEPLAY” are well-penned and the vocals are dripping with angst. The single was penned in response to gatekeepers in the underground modern-rock scene, and the chorus highlights how all artists are effectively playing the same game. It’s a sarcastic pondering as to whether the band will ever escape the rat race, or whether all their hard work and passion will eventually go to waste, poisoned by the toxicity of the music industry.

BATHTUB has achieved a lot in its relatively short time on the scene. They’ve already accumulated over 250k streams across platforms and have been backed by CLOUT and RGM magazine. They were also picked as “BIG IN 2021” by BBC Introducing From Stoke and have supported important acts in the genre such as Dead Poet Society, Sick Joy, Retro Video Club, and Haggard Cat. With their headlining performance at the fringe stage at Your City Festival 2022 and appearances in almost every major city in the UK, including Liverpool, Leeds, Birmingham, London, and Manchester, it’s clear that BATHTUB is a force to be reckoned with in the modern-rock scene.
