‘When the Party Ends’ is the slick new track from emerging artist Chima, mixing an irresistible blend of RnB and hip-hop that is seriously repeat-worthy. Delivering a flow similar to Drake, 6LACK and Ryan Trey, Chima’s mellow production and sharp lyricism in ‘When the Party Ends’ showcases his talents perfectly, cementing him as an artist to watch. Discussing his inspirations, Chima explains: “I find inspiration for music with stuff that I have gone through in the past and go through daily. I don’t really rush myself when it comes to dropping music because I always want to make it timeless and I’m hella critical on myself”.
Debuting back in 2018, the Oakland, CA based artist has been building on and cultivating his fan base, and shared his first EP ‘Break Nights’ in September 2020 which turned the heads of many blogs and A&Rs. Chima’s polished sound sets him in great stead to make a big impression, and we can’t wait to hear what he will offer up next.
