‘Fake Love’ is the striking new single from Sully Gravity

‘Fake Love’ is the fourth single from RnB and Gospel inspired singer-songwriter Sully Gravity.  Sully’s soulful, moving vocals glide across a delicate piano-led melody, making for a wonderfully luxurious listen. The atmospheric record encompasses dreamy, echoey tones forging an ethereal soundscape to really get lost in. Throughout the track, Sully rawly conveys feelings of pain and heartache stemming from a relationship filled with lies, and garnering the courage to move on, as he tugs on the heartstrings through his beautifully emotive delivery.

Explaining the meaning behind the single, Sully said: “‘Fake Love’ is a soulful “out of love” song with a splash of electronic. The song, written as a reflection on the end of a relationship, marks my resolve to start a new chapter. I feel like you always have signals of the end of a relationship and I was too blind to see them, but in hindsight, there’s always something to learn.”

Born in Spain to Nigerian parents, Sully’s passion for music was ignited from an early age, penning songs at the age of 12, whilst gaining a deeper knowledge of gospel and performance every Saturday in church. His influences range from classic soul artists including Ray Charles and Aretha Franklin, to Nigerian Pop/Afrobeat artists like Fela and King Sunny Ade and RnB/Gospel artists such as Whitney Houston and Emeli Sandé. Sully has already been turning heads with his soulful sound, playing over 100 sets in London venues, performing with Jamie Cullum at BBC Intro Live, taking to the stage in Nashville and successfully touring France and Spain in a joint project with Sofar Sounds. Sully has the ability to captivate listeners and audiences, and his shining talent is one to keep an ear out for.
