Pillow Person, real name Sarah Jones, has piled up credits drumming for London electronic outfit Hot Chip, among other things, but a solo adventure has been long overdue. ‘On Your Way’ comes this December, a few months apart from debut single ‘Go Ahead’, and both titles could be read as though a major confidence-boosting mission is underway.
Jones brings her sweet-like-candy vocals to the forefront, drawing a stark contrast with the jittery blips and glitchy surfaces she glides past – proving there’s really something way more mischievous bubbling up inside. When the night falls, this innocent, wide-eyed lady is likely to be found jumping out of her bedroom window and running to the nearest underground indie club, leaving her DIY recordings and electronic experiments at home.
