‘Loud Shirt’ begins with up tempo guitar riffs as Chay Snowdon proceed to deliver hooks that ensure they have our full attention from start to finish

Chay Snowdon are a four piece alternative rock band from Plymouth, England.

The band draw their influences from the proto punk genre that came out of New York City, the glam rock of the 1970s and contemporary powerhouse alternative rock.

Their career to date has seen them not only support the likes of Jordan Allen, Glass Caves and Vant but also grace the stage at festivals such as Liverpool Sound City and Boardmasters.

Chay Snowdon are set to release their debut EP ‘Are You Sitting Comfortably? (Then We’ll Begin)’ on Friday 12th March 2021.

Whilst recording the EP, one of the main focuses was to ensure the tracks had the same energy as when performed live but achieving this during a pandemic proved to be a bit of a challenge.

The band set up a live room specifically for recording and wired a microphone up to a caravan in the driveway during the best weather Britain had to offer and in their own words “it certainly was an experience that you couldn’t help but inject energy into.”

The next track that Chay Snowdon are set to release as a single is ‘Loud Shirts’, this is the third track from the upcoming EP and was produced by John Cornfield of Muse, Supergrass and Robert Plant fame.

Loud Shirt begins with up tempo guitar riffs and catchy drum beats, Chay Snowdon then proceed to unveil clever lyrics which deliver hooks that not only captivate us but ensure they have our full attention from start to finish.

‘Tough Guys Die First’ is pure rock with its infectious melodies and smooth vocals, this powerhouse of a track certainly has an anthemic feel to it.

These songs help set the stage for what we can expect from the band’s upcoming EP.
