MAX RAD releases infectious new album “Joy Wonder”

MAX RAD is a producer/DJ who’s music has blossomed over the past three years. Born and raised in Stroud, his musical journey took him to London, and has landed him back in the West Country. With subtle urban tones blended in with the tranquility of the countryside, it’s clear that his music reflects his environment. MAX RAD creates a unique sound by blending electronic music with soul. His signature sound has received a warm reception from fans and tastemakers alike, with the likes of Notion Magazine, Haste, NME and Earmilk offering their full support.

His latest offering comes in the form of 9-track album “Roll Out.” The album is sure to immerse the listener and take them on a well-flowing musical journey. Tracks such as “Dream Big” are stripped-back, ethereal offerings that feature a melting pot of understated synths, divine backing vocals and infectious vocal lines. Whereas tracks such as “Let Me Think About It” feature swirling walls of noise and chorus tinged vocals, creating an enticing piece of music.

Speaking about the single, he says: “I wanted to make something as hopeful and positive as I could at a time when things felt very unsettled around me. The record was made while living in Cornwall and was inspired by the landscape as much as it was missing the things you get when you live in a city. I had spent months listening to music made for the club when walking alone out on the cliffs, which is a pretty awe-inspiring experience and I think that is what gave birth to this album. It is like a snapshot in time, one that feels hopeful for the future and working through the grief.”

Max is a truly independent artist, releasing his self produced music on his own label ‘Three Sign Records’. With an impressive and well received portfolio of work we can only see him going from strength to strength. Max is taking his show on the road in March, and it’s not one to miss.
