neontown releases infectious new album “Dancing With Tears In My Eyes”

It’s incredible to think that neontown have only been playing together since 2020. Formed by producers/writers Jac and Aure, their sound has become distinctive and infectious. Sonically, the result of their musical collaboration is late-noughties pop merged with contemporary dance.

neontown are set to place their mark on 2023, and they’re doing just that with their latest single “Dancing With Tears In My Eyes.” The E.P is an immersive offering that touches on lots of different topics and conjures up an array of different emotions. Tunes such as “Pockets” are straight up electronic anthems, with grooving rhythms and heartwarming instrumentation. Whereas tracks such as “Don’t Wanna Be Here” come as pop-infused offerings that showcase vulnerability.

Speaking about the release, they say: “We are so excited to finally release our first album. This has been a work in progress for so long as we were constantly writing new music and we changed our tracklist so many times! It includes songs we have released so far, plus some new songs and new versions of released songs. We feel like the title really reflects what the album is about. There is a very good mix of sounds and energy, but they are all linked together by common feelings and vibes. There is a lot of vulnerability , frustration and nostalgia but at the same time a lot of positivity, sassiness and confidence. We are so proud of it and we can’t wait to share it with people who can connect to it!”

With irresistible music, immersive visuals (as seen in their latest music video) and a growing fanbase, we can’t wait to see where they’ll take this.
