Premiere: Elizabeth Goodfellow’s ‘U Play Me Records’ is a daringly strong debut

Elizabeth Goodfellow has just unleashed the brooding ‘U Play Me Records‘; the first single from her forthcoming debut album, Silly Sun.

From the track’s groaning bass lines to its delicate percussion and gorgeous guitar licks, ‘U Play Me Records‘ leaps outside the comfort zone of your average pop anthem. The gritty undertones compliment Goodfellow’s brooding vocals as the track meanders between its own elements, exploring a sound that’s both distinctly daring and exciting. Listen to ‘U Play Me Records‘ below.

The track features Goodfellow’s on drums and vocals, as well as Adam Zimmon on electric guitar and Jonathan Flaugher on electric bass. The final cut was mixed by Theo Karon and mastered by Stephen Marsh.

U Play Me Records‘ is out everywhere this Friday, 13th October (pre-order here), with the full album, Silly Sun, which focuses on relationships – the ones we have with ourselves and others, dropping 23rd February 2018.
