PREMIERE: James Fox shares brand new record ‘The Rest of Our Lives’

Back with his first release of 2021, James Fox is turning heads within the soft rock world. No stranger to the industry and specifically the stage, James’ journey has featured two Top 20 UK Singles, representing the UK at the Eurovision Song Contest, numerous roles in Broadway and even three performances in front of Her Majesty the Queen. Following in the footsteps of previous single ‘Fire and Coal’, ‘The Rest of Our Lives’ is a fun single accompanied by a warm video.

On the writing of the track, James said,

This is a feel-good, guitar-driven love song, that speaks of new beginnings, love, hope and making plans for the future, something I think can resonate with all of us just now.”

A track that breathes optimism and, as James mentioned, new beginnings, the track couldn’t come at a better time for the globe. Music is clearly a healer and a form of medicine to millions across the world, and this is a fact in James’ life too. Offering hope to others during these uneasy times, ‘The Rest of Our Lives’ is a comforting track that reassures listeners that things will be ok again, and like that famous quote… if you’re going through hell… keep going.

Taken from an upcoming album that’s in sight on the horizon, James had this to say on the forthcoming release;

“This album was written during a year that most of us were forced to stop. I rediscovered music again and started writing songs for the first time in years. The songs needed to come out, it felt like it was writing itself from time to time. I started getting very reflective and sifting through my past for the first time. It was therapeutic in many ways but also exhausting, upsetting and difficult. I have been as honest as I can possibly be with the lyrics on this album and have talked about everything from my issues with gambling, loss of family, friends, the music business, my own demons and fears, right though to hope, finding new and real love and happiness and everything that was in between. My career has been very diverse and I’ve been lucky to have had many amazing opportunities and experiences”

“The Rest of Our Lives” gives insight to a remarkable release ahead.
