Seraphina Simone shares expressive single ‘O M D’

Seraphina Simone unveils her third single ‘O M D’, a deeply personal and emotive offering. Anchored by a low bass, the song opens with Seraphina’s stripped back sweet vocal before ushering in honeyed harmonies, swirling synths and a dynamic chorus. There’s a certain lo-fi aspect to the production that emphasizes the authenticity and openness of the lyrics. This chilled indie track pulls elements from a variety of genres, culminating in a refreshingly original sound.

Speaking of the meaning behind her song, Seraphina explains: “O M D is more personal than the first two singles – it’s about loving someone struggling with depression, and how powerless you feel to help them. Like you’re a bystander in your own relationship, just watching them untether themselves further and further while you try and hold them and yourself and everything together, totally unsuccessfully. In this particular relationship, the more I tried to help the more I pushed him away, and then I ended up resenting him because it hurt.”

Seraphina made her debut earlier this year, releasing two singles ‘Cherry <3’ and ‘Hollywood $$$’ which received impressive acclaim from a multitude of music publications. With a star-studded musical background and an inviting indie sound, Seraphina is poised for great success and we can’t wait to hear what comes next.
