Siena Liggins releases infectious new single “Sneaky Links” featuring MKxyz

Siena Liggins has placed herself front and centre of the new global music scene. Her unique and signature sound pays homage to a multitude of different artists and commits to pushing genre barriers as far as they will go. Liggins has shared the stage with the likes of Lizzo, Doja Cat, King Princess, Baby Tate, Tkay Maidza, and Dreya Mac, and she’s impressed tastemakers such as Spotify’s New Music Friday, Fresh Finds and SALT.

Her latest offering comes in the form of single “Sneaky Links” featuring MKxyz. Paying homage to hyper-pop and hip-hop, the track’s danceable beats, impactful bass lines and atmospheric synths create the perfect canvas for Liggins’s vocals to be laid down upon. Contrasting Liggins’s vocals are MKxyz’s bold and moody bars, which give the track a different dimension.

Speaking about the single, she says: “I wanted to write a song that highlighted the ironically undignified yet widely praised culture of hooking up. And I wanted to write it from my perspective because there’s so much stigma when a woman airs toxicity even though it’s practically inescapable in our society. I love the way Matias Mora’s production interprets my feelings about situationships– tense, hollow, intuitive– and MK xyz’s energy balances them perfectly. This song is so sexy to me because it doesn’t apologize for what’s done in the dark.”

“Sneaky Links” has been taken from Liggins’s album “floozy.” If this single is anything to go by, then we’re certainly in for a treat!
