The three-time Grammy balloted indie country star, Luanne Hunt, has released her 21st studio album, Portraits in Song, which is a country folk-rock testament to her unremitting determination to strive for excellence in all aspects of her craft.

The album opens on the orchestral hooks and Luanne Hunt’s arcanely pitch-perfect baroque folk-rock vocals in It Was Always You, which pays ode to a timeless and perpetuating passion.

Midnight Rain & Roses shows a very different side to Hunt’s sound with its dreamy Fleetwood Mac reminiscences, shimmering piano progressions and crunchy warm guitars. Each of the singles are a brand-new alchemic amalgamation of the Orlando-based artist’s fusionist style that melds modern country, Americana and folk-rock into ornate soundscapes decorated with 70s rock stripes.

The album also features the Latin Grammy Award-Winning drummer, Heitor Lima, the world-renowned piano player, Hal Ratliff (Righteous Brothers, Grass Roots) and the acclaimed Canadian composer/conductor Jordan Grigg.

Luanne Hunt said:

“I consider ‘Portraits in Song’ to be my crowning achievement thus far. It reflects my love of folk-rock artists in the same vein as, America, Crosby, Stills and Nash and Van Morrison; I can’t get enough of the songs from the 60s and 70s era. They truly are the bar I always set for myself.”

Amelia Vandergast, Executive Editor at A&R Factory said:

“You will never find a more elegant soul in country-folk rock n roll. ‘Portraits in Song’ is simultaneously a bewitching anachronism that soothingly lulls you into a state of folk-rock nostalgia and a reminder that artists are still capable of conjuring that same kind of magic.”
