90 hospitalized at Chance The Rapper concert

More than 90 gig-goers were hospitalised over the weekend during Chance The Rapper‘s show at Hot 93.7’s Hot Jam concert in Connecticut.

Authorities say that many attendees were underage and were taken to hospital due to “severe intoxication“. Brian Foley, the Hartford Deputy Chief, has said that many of the crowd at the Xfinity Theatre, which composed of mostly individuals in their late teens, were involved in “tailgating, partying, and excessive alcohol consumption.

It has been reported that 50 underage drinking referrals were made including several other arrests throughout the evening. A number of those arrested have been issued a summons to appear in court.

Other than Chance The Rapper’, the Hot 93.7’s annual Hot Jam saw performances from Kyle, PnB Rock, and ANoyd.

Earlier this month the Chicago rapper performed a Tiny Desk concert for NPR music which included an impeccable cover of Stevie Wonder’s ‘They Won’t Go When I Go’. Watch it here.
