Adele instructs security guard to stop telling fans to sit down at gig

At a recent show in Melbourne, Adele called out a security guard for telling people to sit down.

Speaking directly to a member of staff she said, “Excuse me sir, I know you work here, but can you stop telling people to sit down? This is a music show, if people can’t see then they can stand up and if you’re moaning about people dancing, then what the fuck have you come to a show for?

Gig-goes applauded as she spoke to the security guard from the stage at the Etihad Stadium in Melbourne.

Adele has attracted attention during her shows for the way she enters the stage, inviting a drag queen onstage, and being attacked by a mosquito.

The singer has just wrapped up her Australian leg of her world tour. The gig in Melbourne was her last before she heads to New Zealand and then back to the UK. The tour is in support of her most recent album 25.
