Big Narstie is getting his own TV show

Big Narstie, one of the UK’s favourite grime artists and personalities, is finally getting his own television show.

It’s called The Big Narstie Show and it’s been commissioned for a non-broadcast pilot on Channel 4. The show will see the rapper joined by comedian Mo Gilligan to present a mixture of celebrity chat and to discuss current affairs, trends, food, showbiz and more.

Following the Bass Defence League mogul’s hit appearance on Celebrity Gogglebox, Syeda Irtizaali, Channel 4’s Commissioning Editor said: “We’re thrilled to work with Big Narstie again, as it’s clear from his previous Channel 4 appearances that he is en route to becoming something of a national treasure. It really feels like an opportunity for a brilliant and ridiculous show which flips the conventional magazine show format on its head.

Last month Big Narstie appeared on Good Morning Britain to deliver the weather forecast. During his stint as the show’s weatherman, Narstie told viewers to wear wellies as due to the heavy rain in the Midlands as it’s going to be a “mud-fest“.
