Blink-182’s Tom DeLonge is making a sci-fi TV series for TBS

Ex-Blink 182 guitarist Tom DeLonge is working on a sci-fi TV-series.

The show, which is based on DeLonge’s graphic novel, Strange Times, will follow “five dirty teenage skateboarders who solve paranormal mysteries while being chased by Deep State government agents.”

The show will be made for American network TBS, with DeLonge acting as an executive producer alongside Aaron Karo as the scriptwriter.

Speaking about the show in a press release, DeLonge said: “My love for all things paranormal and skateboarding are sometimes only superseded by my love for offensive humor.

“This series combines them all into one.”

The upcoming series does not currently have a premiere date.

The guitarist, who departed Blink-182 in 2015, has been outspoken about his belief in UFOs.

He was awarded the accolade of UFO researcher of the year in 2017, and has even set up his own company, To The Stars Academy of Arts and Sciences, to research the phenomenon.

Earlier this year it was reported that the newly-founded company was in debt of $37 million, a claim which was later refuted by DeLonge: “The approximate $37 million stockholders’ deficit is not debt as characterized it but is attributable to stock-based compensation expense. It is not related to the operational results of the company.”
