The Chainsmokers write heartfelt open letter after fan passes away

The Chainsmokers posted the letter on Twitter after one of their fans died.

One of the members, Alex Pall, wrote the letter after getting the news that a fan with cancer had passed away. He had been planning to see the band in London but due to his health, he couldn’t attend. His friend contacted the band and explained the situation. The EDM duo recorded a video telling him to stay strong and that the next time they played in London they would have him at the side of the side. Unfortunately, he passed away the day after receiving the video. His father contacted the band to let them know.

The Chainsmokers have released a collaboration with Coldplay called ‘Something Just Like This‘ which they performed at the BRITs. The song will appear on the band’s debut album ‘Memories: Do Not Open‘ which will be released in April this year.
