Chance The Rapper has taken fire at Tumblr’s recent decision to ban pornography on site.
On Monday, Tumblr announced a chance in terms of service that it will ban almost all nudity from the platform.
From 17th December, videos, GIFs or photos of genitalia, sex acts or female nipples will no longer be permitted on the service.
The rapper claims that the decision is “fucking up” how he “values human life”, as violence remains widespread on the platform. Writing on Twitter, Chance voiced that the move was hypocritical: “They banning nipples on Tumblr but I’m seeing people get murdered graphically every day on this app, like real snuff videos, non-related to police shootings. Wtf yo.
“That shit honestly terrible for my mental and fucking up how I value human life.”
