Charli XCX drops acoustic version of ‘Boys’

Charli XCX has released an acoustic version of her recent single, ‘Boys‘.

The pop star dropped the new single earlier this summer alongside a star studded video of famous male stars. The video flipped a common music video narrative on its head putting the men in sexualised roles which are usually reserved for women.

An acoustic rendition of the song has now been released with plans for the original to appear in XCX’s upcoming album. Listen to the stripped back version of ‘Boys‘ below.

Charli recently shared a behind the scenes video of the making of the ‘Boys‘ visuals. Watch below.

The cute clip featured an array of musicians including Joe Jonas, Mac DeMarco, Bastille‘s Dan Smith, Panic At The Disco‘s Brendan Urie, BleachersJack Antonoff, Joey Bada$$, Diplo, Stormzy, Riz Ahmed and more.
